- Candidate must have passed Class 8 from a recognized board school in last two years

FAQ Document on Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS) Session 2023-24

Ans.Delhi Model Virtual School is a full-time school in virtual mode. It carries the hallmarks of any regular school. Like any other full-time regular school, the students have to attend live classes, participate in co-curricular activities, and submit assignments and assessments.

Ans. Delhi Model Virtual School will cater to students of classes 9-12. In the academic year 2023-24, admissions will be open to Class 9th in April 2023. The details for admissions to Class 11th will be shared later.

Ans. DMVS offers 6 core subjects for Class 9: English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Computer Science with diverse options of enrichment courses.

DMVS will offer additional support to prepare for various competitive exams like JEE/NEET, CUET and other entrance exams in the coming years.

In addition to these subjects, students will have the flexibility to enroll themselves in career oriented skill courses . These courses are on a range of themes such as coding, foreign language learning, design, finance etc.

Ans. Study material is only provided in pdf and video formats. Students also have access to other e-material through the “Interactive Library” feature on the DMVS Student Portal. All students enrolled at DMVS will have access to live classes and tutorials, asynchronous video content, pdf of reading material etc that will cover all the topics of each subject being taught at DMVS. Students can attend the live classes directly and access the recording of the live classes as per their convenience.

DMVS administration will not be able to provide any study material in hard-copy format or send it to students’ home through parcel. All study material will be available in online/soft copy version only.

Ans. A student will have the option to attend a combination of online live classes, assemblies, special events, zero period, tutorials and co-curricular activities in a day. In addition, mentoring sessions and counselling will also be available to them.
The school runs from Monday to Saturday every week. The second Saturday of every month is a holiday.

Ans. The tutorials are small group, teacher-student interactions for clarifying doubts as per subject needs. Any student who has queries or doubts can discuss them with the teachers during tutorials.

Ans. The practicals for required subjects will be conducted using virtual lab simulations online, relevant videos and live classes.

Ans. Yes, a range of co-curricular activities are conducted at DMVS. These include special assemblies with special guest speakers, zero-period, yoga sessions, competitions, games, etc.
Moreover, events like Christmas, New Year, Republic Day, Annual Day etc. are also organized at DMVS.

Ans. The medium of instruction will be both English and Hindi. This means that teachers will use a mix of Hindi and English language to teach in the classroom. English will be the primary mode of instruction in live classes as well recorded videos. However, the teachers and facilitators will use communicative English along with appropriate Hindi phrases to explain the concepts.

Moreover, all learning material will be in English language only (except for Hindi Subject). Students can write their exams in Hindi or English.

Ans. No school fees shall be charged from DMVS students.

Ans. No, DMVS is a full time school and a child cannot be enrolled in two schools at the same time. Please note that at the time of document verification, post confirmation of admission, students will have to submit their School Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate from their current school as a proof that they have left their previous school and will now continue further studies in DMVS.

Ans. DMVS will accept applications from students between 13 to 18 years, at the time of enrollment for Class 9. The student should have passed Class 8 in the past 2 years and must have the marksheet and school leaving certificate/ transfer certificate for class 8th at the time of verification.

Ans. Students will be selected by an assessment of their aptitude through an Online Entrance Examination.

The entrance exam for DMVS will be conducted in ONLINE MODE through remote proctoring. This means that all applicants will be required to take the exam using their smartphone/ laptop/ tablet/ computer with good internet connectivity and students will be monitored during the examination.

Ans. Yes, DMVS will follow reservations as per norms and guidelines of the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi

Ans. The following documents are to be uploaded at the time of registration:

Ans. Entrance Examination will be conducted in April. The syllabus and date of the online entrance exam will be shared on the DMVS website and the Applicant Portal. All candidates are required to regularly check the Admission Details page and their Applicant Portal on the DMVS website regularly, to get updates about the online exam.

Ans. For the session 2023-24, the new academic session will begin from the first week of June 2023, tentatively.

Ans. Yes. Applicants can contact the admissions support team at DMVS by emailing your queries at support@dmvs.ac.in

Ans. All important exams at DMVS are conducted in the online mode of examination. Students will be required to take the exam through an online platform where they can fill in and upload their answers. These exams will be live and monitored by an invigilator.

Board Exams for class 10th and 12th are conducted offline and students may need to come to test centers in Delhi to appear for the exam.

Ans. DMVS follows the new age assessment pattern of Delhi Board of School Education where students are assessed based on the competencies that they have gained while learning at the school. Students are assessed through class tests, live online exams, assignments, home work, project work, activities etc.

However it is important to note that DBSE Board Examinations in Grades 10th and 12th are conducted in-person/physically wherein students from outside Delhi must come to the exam centers in Delhi to appear for their end term examination.

There are majorly two types of assessments conducted at DMVS -

Internal Assessment - Equal to 20% of Final Grade
End-Term Assessment - Equal to 80% of Final Grade

Ans. End Term Examination for Grades 9th and 11th are conducted in a flexible online mode and students can appear for the examination from any location with proper internet connection.

Whereas DBSE Board Examinations in Grades 10th and 12th are conducted in-person/physically wherein students from outside Delhi must come to the exam centers in Delhi to appear for their end term examination.

Ans. Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS) is affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE). The certification from DBSE and DMVS is valid across India and abroad.

Ans. DBSE marksheet/certificate is equivalent to other boards. It will be valid for admission to other school boards and universities throughout the country.

Ans. DMVS is Delhi Government’s first completely virtual, full time regular school providing holistic education to all its students. Unlike an open school, in DMVS, there is a greater focus on student participation, continuous learning and evaluation. उत्तर- दिल्ली मॉडल वर्चुअल स्कूल कक्षा 9-12 के विद्यार्थियों के लिए है । शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2023-24 के लिए कक्षा 9वीं में एडमिशन अप्रैल 2023 में शुरू होंगे। कक्षा 11वीं में दाखिले से सम्बंधित जानकारी कुछ समय बाद दी जाएगी |

उत्तर- डीएमवीएस में कक्षा 9 के लिए 6 मुख्य विषय है: अंग्रेजी, हिंदी, गणित, विज्ञान, सामाजिक विज्ञान और कंप्यूटर साइंस।
डीएमवीएस विभिन्न प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी के लिए अतिरिक्त सहायता व सपोर्ट प्रदान करेगा जैसे की जेईई/एनईईटी की परीक्षा व सीयूईटी और आने वाले वर्षों में अन्य प्रवेश परीक्षाओं की तैयारी शामिल की जाएंगी।
इन विषयों के अलावा विद्यार्थियों को करियर ओरिएंटेड स्किल कोर्सेज़ भी पढ़ने का अवसर मिलेगा। इन कोर्सेज में कोडिंग, फ़ॉरेन र्लैंग्वेज, डिज़ाइन, फाइनेंस आदि जैसे विभिन्न विषय शामिल हैं।

उत्तर- सभी अध्ययन सामग्री पीडीएफ और वीडियो फॉर्मेट में प्रदान किये जाते हैं । विद्यार्थी डीएमवीएस स्टूडेंट पोर्टल पर "इंटरैक्टिव लाइब्रेरी" के माध्यम से अन्य ई-कंटेंट का लाभ उठा पाएंगे। डीएमवीएस में पढ़ने वाले सभी विद्यार्थियों को लाइव क्लासेस, ट्यूटोरियल्स, एसिंक्रोनस वीडियो कंटेंट और रीडिंग मटेरियल के पीडीएफ आदि की सुविधा मिलेगी जो डीएमवीएस में पढ़ाए जाने वाले सभी जरूरी टॉपिक के प्रत्येक विषयों को कवर करेगा। विद्यार्थी सीधे लाइव क्लास में भाग ले सकते हैं और अपनी सुविधा के अनुसार लाइव क्लास की रिकॉर्डिंग देख सकते हैं।
डीएमवीएस एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन कोई भी अध्ययन सामग्री हार्ड-कॉपी प्रारूप में या पार्सल के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को प्रदान नहीं कर पाएगा। सभी अध्ययन सामग्री केवल ऑनलाइन/पीडीएफ फॉर्मेट में उपलब्ध होगी।

उत्तर- एक विद्यार्थी के पास एक दिन में ऑनलाइन लाइव क्लासेस, असेंबली, स्पेशल इवेंट, ज़ीरो पीरियड, ट्यूटोरियल और को-करीकुलर कार्यों में भाग लेने का विकल्प होगा। साथ ही मेंटरिंग सेशन और काउंसलिंग भी उन्हें उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।
स्कूल हर हफ्ते सोमवार से शनिवार तक चलता है। प्रत्येक माह के द्वितीय शनिवार को अवकाश रहता है।

उत्तर- ट्यूटोरियल छोटे समूह के रूप में एवं शिक्षक-विद्यार्थी के बीच चर्चा व डिस्कशन के माध्यम से विषयानुसार विद्यार्थियों के सवालों के जवाब देना व उनके संदेह को दूर करना होता है। कोई भी विद्यार्थी अपने प्रश्‍न व शंकाएं ट्यूटोरियल के दौरान शिक्षकों से पूछ सकते हैं।

उत्तर- आवश्यक विषयों के प्रैक्टिकल वर्चुअल लैब सिमुलेशन, ऑनलाइन व वीडियो और लाइव क्लास का इस्तेमाल करके आयोजित किए जाएंगे।

उत्तर- हाँ, डीएमवीएस में कई प्रकार की को-करिकुलर संबंधी गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की जाती हैं। इनमें विशिष्ट अतिथि - वक्ताओं के साथ विशेष सभाएं, जीरों पीरियड, योग सत्र, प्रतियोगिताएं, खेल आदि शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा डीएमवीएस में क्रिसमस, नव वर्ष, गणतंत्र दिवस, वार्षिक दिवस आदि जैसे कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित किए गए हैं। इनकी एक झलक यहां देखी जा सकती है।

उत्तर- उत्तर- शिक्षा का माध्यम अंग्रेजी और हिंदी दोनों होगा। इसका मतलब है कि शिक्षक कक्षा में पढ़ाने के लिए हिंदी और अंग्रेजी भाषा के मिश्रण का उपयोग करेंगे। लाइव क्लासेस के साथ-साथ रिकॉर्ड किए गए वीडियो में अंग्रेजी भाषा टीचिंग का प्राथमिक माध्यम होगा। हालांकि, शिक्षक और फैसिलिटेटर कुछ विषयों को समझाने के लिए बोलचाल अंग्रेजी भाषा के साथ उपयुक्त हिंदी वाक्यांशों का उपयोग करेंगे।
इसके अलावा, सभी शिक्षण सामग्री केवल अंग्रेजी भाषा (हिंदी विषय को छोड़कर) में उपलभ्ध होगी। छात्र अपनी परीक्षा हिंदी या अंग्रेजी में लिख सकते हैं।

उत्तर- डीएमवीएस विद्यार्थियों से कोई स्कूल फीस नहीं ली जाएगी।

उत्तर- नहीं, डीएमवीएस एक फुल-टाइम रेगुलर वर्चुअल स्कूल है और एक बच्चा एक ही समय में दो स्कूलों में नामांकित नहीं किया जा सकता है। कृपया ध्यान दें कि डॉक्यूमेंट जाँच करते समय, एडमिशन कन्फर्मेशन के बाद, विद्यार्थियों को अपने वर्तमान स्कूल से अपना स्कूल छोड़ने का प्रमाण पत्र/स्थानांतरण प्रमाणपत्र प्रूफ के रूप में जमा करना होगा कि उन्होंने अपना पिछला स्कूल छोड़ दिया है और अब डीएमवीएस में आगे की पढ़ाई जारी रखेंगे।

उत्तर- डीएमवीएस कक्षा 9 में नामांकन के लिए 13 से 18 वर्ष के बीच के विद्यार्थियों के आवेदन स्वीकार करेगा। विद्यार्थी को पिछले 2 वर्षों में कक्षा 8 उत्तीर्ण होना चाहिए और सत्यापन के समय कक्षा 8वीं की मार्कशीट और स्कूल छोड़ने का प्रमाण पत्र / स्थानांतरण प्रमाणपत्र होना चाहिए।

उत्तर- विद्यार्थियों का चयन एक ऑनलाइन एंट्रेंस एग्जाम के माध्यम से उनकी योग्यता के आकलन के द्वारा किया जाएगा। डीएमवीएस के लिए एंट्रेंस एग्जाम ऑनलाइन मोड में रिमोट प्रॉक्टरिंग के माध्यम से आयोजित की जाएगी। इसका मतलब यह है कि सभी आवेदकों को अपने स्मार्टफोन/लैपटॉप/टैबलेट/कंप्यूटर का इस्तेमाल करके अच्छी इंटरनेट कनेक्टिविटी के साथ परीक्षा देनी होगी और परीक्षा के दौरान विद्यार्थियों की निगरानी की जाएगी।

उत्तर- हाँ, डीएमवीएस, शिक्षा निदेशालय, दिल्ली सरकार के मापदंडोऔर दिशानिर्देशों के अनुसार आरक्षण का पालन करेगा।

उत्तर- अप्रैल में एंट्रेंस एग्जाम कराई जाएगी। ऑनलाइन एंट्रेंस एग्जाम का सिलबेस और तिथि डीएमवीएस की वेबसाइट और एप्लीकेंट पोर्टल पर साझा की जाएगी। ऑनलाइन एग्जाम के बारे में अपडेट प्राप्त करने के लिए सभी उम्मीदवारों को नियमित रूप से डीएमवीएस वेबसाइट पर प्रवेश विवरण पृष्ठ और उनके आवेदक पोर्टल की नियमित रूप से जांच करने की आवश्यकता है।

उत्तर- सत्र 2023-24 के लिए नया शैक्षणिक सत्र संभावित रूप से जून 2023 के प्रथम सप्ताह से प्रारंभ होगा।

उत्तर- हाँ, आवेदक अपने प्रश्नों को support@dmvs.ac.in पर ईमेल करके, डीएमवीएस एडमिशन सपोर्ट टीम से संपर्क कर सकते हैं।

उत्तर- डीएमवीएस में सभी महत्वपूर्ण परीक्षाएं ऑनलाइन मोड में आयोजित की जाती हैं। विद्यार्थियों को एक ऑनलाइन प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से परीक्षा देनी होगी जहां वे फॉर्म में अपने उत्तर भर कर अपलोड कर सकते हैं। ये परीक्षाएं लाइव होंगी और इनविजिलेटर द्वारा इनकी निगरानी की जाएगी।
कक्षा 10वीं और 12वीं की बोर्ड परीक्षाएं संभावित रूप से ऑफलाइन तरीके से आयोजित की जाएगी और विद्यार्थियों को परीक्षा में शामिल होने के लिए दिल्ली के परीक्षा केंद्रों पर आना हो सकता है।

जबकि कक्षा 10वीं और 12वीं के लिए डीबीएसई बोर्ड परीक्षाएं व्यक्तिगत रूप से/शारीरिक रूप से आयोजित की जाती हैं, जिसमें दिल्ली के बाहर के विद्यार्थियों को अपनी अंतिम सत्र की परीक्षा में शामिल होने के लिए दिल्ली में परीक्षा केंद्रों पर आना होगा।
